What to Expect From Your Orthodontic Consultation

An orthodontic consultation is the first step to having the great smile that one has always desired. Having a great smile with healthy teeth, gums, and jaw is an investment that will continue to reward one for life. For too many people in the world, there is a struggle to deal with the public perception of their own image. As an orthodontist, our goal is to make sure that we give you the confidence of a great smile so that your image can be exactly what you want it to be. This process starts with your orthodontic consultation.

An Orthodontic Consultation

One of the reasons why we start with a consultation is to ensure that patients understand exactly what the process is, examine the best possible treatment options, learn about the latest innovative techniques, and understand the treatment options. This, in turn, allows the patient to decide on several factors.

First, it allows you to set the pace and the cost of the treatment that will help to straighten your teeth and make your smile more beautiful. Secondly, it sets out a realistic expectation of how fast the process is going to be and sets benchmarks for the goals that you want to reach. Finally, it creates a rapport between you and our team so that we are working in conjunction to give you the amazing smile you have always dreamed about having.

During your initial orthodontic consultation, we will give you the opportunity to tour the office with the orthodontist and staff, discuss any concerns that you may have, get any questions answered that may be lingering, and discover what is the best treatment option for you or your loved one. During this initial appointment you can expect the following:

Oral Health Exam

The orthodontic consultation will include a comprehensive review of your dental and medical history, in addition to doing an oral exam and possibly taking X-rays.  By making sure that we are doing a comprehensive review of both your dental, and your medical, history we make sure that there are no undue complications and that we can lay out a treatment plan that is going to be effective, cost-friendly, and will produce results in the shortest possible time to give you the beautiful smile you came in for.

Customized Treatment

During your appointment we will also go to a preliminary customized treatment plan, to lay out the benchmarks we want to reach, explain to you the process, and decide what are the best treatment options for you. It will also be a brief question-and-answer session about your treatment plan so that we can address any questions you may have, such as how long the process is going to take.

Conversation to Explain the treatment Costs

Toward the end of the orthodontic consultation we are going to go over, and explain, all of the costs, the insurance options you have, and what payment plans are available to make sure that you can afford to get the great smile that you want. Working with virtually any budget, and ensuring that you get the most coverage by your insurance, our goal is to get you a beautiful smile without putting a strain on your bank account.

Call today and schedule your appointment so that you can begin straightening your teeth.
